Benjamin Graham's 1949 book, The Intelligent Investor has been described by Warren Buffett as the best investment book ever written. Not surprising since Graham was Buffett's mentor and to this day, he is considered to be the archetypal value investor.
Graham states:
"Basically, price fluctuations have only one significant meaning for the true investor: They provide him with an opportunity to buy wisely when prices fall sharply and sell wisely when they advance a great deal. At other times he will do better if he forgets about the stock market."
In his book, Graham introduces us to his now famous metaphor "Mr. Market" which explains how stock markets operate and demonstrates his point that a wise investor will always choose investments based on their fundamentals uninfluenced by the whimsicle nature of market sentiment.

What is eating Jon Nadler?
Those who follow gold closely will be equally familiar with Jon Nadler, the gold commentator with a profoundly negative stance - who also just happens to be the senior analyst for Kitco the Canadian internet gold site and bullion dealer. Yes, the voice of Kitco, who issues daily commentary on their behalf, is so consistently negative that he has earned himself the title “The Tokyo Rose” of Gold analysts!
For those who follow the sector, this will come as no surprise. But for newcomers, just imagine the football editor of The Sun continually criticising the game and telling people to stop watching live matches because at these prices, there are far better things to spend your money on!

We recently started following resource developer Beowulf Mining (AIM:BEM) who have a wide range of exploration projects in Sweden, though their main focus is currently on their two significant Iron Ore projects, Ruoutevare & Kallak in the northern part of the country. Following a £1m fundraising in March the company is now accelerating their activities and this has lead to a growing level of investor interest. Last week the company announced to the market that drilling is to commence to further define the resource at Kallak.
We contacted Executive Chairman Clive Sinclair-Poulton and we are delighted that he and Technical Director Jan-Ola Larsson agreed to participate in this Q&A session with investors and readers of Mining Maven, to expand on their plans for the Company going forward:

May We Recommend??In the wake of the Global Financial Crisis, a plethora of books have hit the market. In time, some may well turn out to be seminal pieces, though most would argue that it is still too soon to tell.
One book which has certainly recieved much critical acclaim is This Time is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly by Carmen M. Reinhart & Kenneth Rogoff. We have now included it in The Miningmaven Book Store at Amazon, and they are running a special price promotion on it, so well worth a look!
